On Wednesday, April 19, the 2nd Grade took a field trip to Defy Trampoline park in Duluth. We ended the trip with Culver’s ice cream. They had a lot of fun!

Happy National Administrative Professionals Day! While the official date is April 26, we are celebrating it today, April 21.
We want to thank our fantastic administrative professionals for all that you do. You are the backbone of our school, and we couldn't do it without you! You keep everything running smoothly, you take care of our students, staff, and families, and you always go the extra mile. We are lucky to have you here at Ironwood!

If you would like to learn more about the Bond proposal, please join us at one of these events!

Here are two more opportunities to have questions answered about the Bond! Both events will be held as planned.

There will be no school in Ironwood April 18, 2023.
The massive amount of snowfall on top of recently thawed roadways make for very challenging and potentially unsafe conditions for buses and parents bringing students to school. School is cancelled to allow time for all roads in the district to be cleared for travel.
All athletic practices and events are cancelled.
The tour of Luther L. Wright, scheduled for 5:30, with a bond presentation to follow, will be held as planned. Tour will begin at the Pabst Street Door. All community members are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Stay warm and stay safe!

One of our Ironwood students holds up an Aaron Jones sign, which Aaron Jones signed! As a final surprise, the Green Bay Packer Tailgate crew gave Ironwood a check for $10,000! Thank you for your incredible generosity!

The Green Bay Packer Tailgate crew held a brief assembly with the students. They gave an excellent message to the students.

More pictures from Friday's surprise visit from the Green Bay Packer Tailgate tour! Everyone wanted to get in on the action, including Mrs. Nigh!

There will be no school in Ironwood Monday, April 17, 2023, due to the significant late-winter storm impacting our area.
All evening practices, and athletic events are cancelled.
This day will have to be made up. We will have school on May 1
Stay warm and stay safe!

The Green Bay Packer Tailgate tour took them through the 1st and 2nd floor of Luther L. Wright. We have many Packer fans here in the building, including staff!

THE PACKERS CAME TO TOWN! Today, Ironwood Schools hosted the Green Bay Packer's Tailgate Touring group. Mrs. Nigh was there to welcome them to Luther L. Wright. Our school received an outstanding compliment, when the Packer's PR person said Ironwood was the best behaved, most respectful students they had seen in a long time. Excellent job, students!
More photos to come.

Today is the FINAL day to purchase a yearbook. Head over to jostens.com to order yours before it's too late!

We are entering the final stretch for the school year! Remember - attendance is essential for student success. It's important for students to attend school regularly so that they can learn the material, develop social skills, and avoid the negative consequences of chronic absenteeism. Help our students succeed by getting them to school!

The Intro to Business/CTE class took a trip to Duluth to visit the Great Lakes Aquarium and the DECC. We talked to the Director of Operations at the Aquarium and the Director of Communications at the DECC. Each member of the class asked questions to learn more about how the businesses are managed, how they are run, and how they are marketed.
The students enjoyed an entertaining and informative day!

Host families are needed for our area! Find out more information by calling or emailing Lauren Scherr (contact information on flyer).

Another reminder and a link to order spring photos!

The canceled spring pictures will be made up this Friday, April 14, from 8-10 a.m. in the elementary gym. Please contact the office if you have questions.

Join us here on Tuesday for a live presentation on the bond. There will be an opportunity for questions to be answered after the presentation.
