Happy National Administrative Professionals Day! While the official date is April 26, we are celebrating it today, April 21. We want to thank our fantastic administrative professionals for all that you do. You are the backbone of our school, and we couldn't do it without you! You keep everything running smoothly, you take care of our students, staff, and families, and you always go the extra mile. We are lucky to have you here at Ironwood!

There will be no school in Ironwood April 18, 2023. The massive amount of snowfall on top of recently thawed roadways make for very challenging and potentially unsafe conditions for buses and parents bringing students to school. School is cancelled to allow time for all roads in the district to be cleared for travel. All athletic practices and events are cancelled. The tour of Luther L. Wright, scheduled for 5:30, with a bond presentation to follow, will be held as planned. Tour will begin at the Pabst Street Door. All community members are welcome and encouraged to attend. Stay warm and stay safe!

THE PACKERS CAME TO TOWN! Today, Ironwood Schools hosted the Green Bay Packer's Tailgate Touring group. Mrs. Nigh was there to welcome them to Luther L. Wright. Our school received an outstanding compliment, when the Packer's PR person said Ironwood was the best behaved, most respectful students they had seen in a long time. Excellent job, students! More photos to come.

We are entering the final stretch for the school year! Remember - attendance is essential for student success. It's important for students to attend school regularly so that they can learn the material, develop social skills, and avoid the negative consequences of chronic absenteeism. Help our students succeed by getting them to school!

The Intro to Business/CTE class took a trip to Duluth to visit the Great Lakes Aquarium and the DECC. We talked to the Director of Operations at the Aquarium and the Director of Communications at the DECC. Each member of the class asked questions to learn more about how the businesses are managed, how they are run, and how they are marketed. The students enjoyed an entertaining and informative day!
