The Ironwood boys and girls high school basketball teams will be hosting a two Saturday basketball clinic in December! This is for grades 2nd-6th grade. September Students of the Month were awarded at Monday night's school board meeting. Congratulations, Logan Osterman, 12th grade, Ryan Johnson, 8th grade, Norah Yurchak, 6th grade, and Kenzi Madison, 2nd grade. Thank you for showing Respect, Integrity, Safety, and Excellence!



Mrs. Headley’s first grade got the chance to decorate pumpkins this Thursday. Mr. Bunt’s sixth grade came down to help out. Everyone had a blast painting pumpkins! 🎃

Ironwood Teacher Selected For Honors Program
Darin Schmidt, music teacher at the Luther L. Wright School in Ironwood, was selected to coach the percussion section for the Wisconsin State Music Association Middle School Honors Band. Mr. Schmidt will join other section coaches to help prepare Wisconsin’s top students for a concert at the Wisconsin State Music Conference on October 28. Mr. Schmidt holds a Master of Music Degree from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University-Bloomington, where he majored in conducting and minored in percussion performance.

Thank you to the Class of 1989 for donating books to classrooms! Mrs. Tarnaski's class received 4 books on social/emotional well-being. 6 adolescent books were donated to Mrs. Pawlak's room, and multiple books were donated to the 5th grade to add to their new reading curriculum!




Great news! The school photo proofs were distributed this morning. Lakeshore sent emails to parents about their Lakeshore account to access school photos.

The 7th grade Current Events class took a field trip to The Globe on Friday, October 20th. The students met with Larry Holcombe, Editor, and Jacob Vallejo, Advertising Director. They took a tour, where they had fun learning about The Globe!
